What this service actually involves
A molding profile that looks right in a nine-foot room looks undersized at eleven feet and heavy at eight. We help you choose a scale that suits the ceiling height and the age of the house, then install it so the returns, corners and transitions all resolve properly. For larger rooms we build up profiles from multiple pieces to get a depth and shadow line that a single stock molding cannot deliver.
Every project runs the same way: measured on site, written up clearly, and built by the crew that quoted it. You deal with Wilson directly rather than a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Included in every crown molding & baseboard project
- Single-piece and built-up crown assemblies
- Baseboard, shoe molding and quarter round
- Chair rail, picture rail and panel mold layouts
- Tray ceiling, coffer and soffit molding detail
- Profile matching for additions and historic homes
- Sprung-angle layout so corners close without gaps
Four steps from first call to final walkthrough
Scale the Profile
We look at ceiling height, room size and existing trim to size the molding correctly.
Dry Fit
Corners are cut and test-fit before final fastening, especially on out-of-square walls.
Install
Runs are nailed into blocking and framing so nothing pulls away as the house moves.
Finish
Joints are glued and dressed, holes filled, and the room cleaned before we hand it back.
Detail-driven from start to finish
Premium results come from disciplined habits, not shortcuts. This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every project, whatever its size.
Clear Communication
Straight answers, written scope and a weekly update on where the project stands.
Measured On Site
Everything is measured to the house as built — no assuming a wall is plumb or an opening is square.
Real Preparation
Backing, blocking and substrate work done before finish work starts, not improvised around later.
Materials That Suit the Job
Species, grade and hardware selected for the location and the way the space is actually used.
Respect for the Property
Floors and fixtures protected, dust contained, and the site cleaned before we leave each day.
Final Walkthrough
We walk the punch list with you and sign it off together before the project is called complete.
