Working in East Hampton
A large share of East Hampton work arrives as a drawing set. That is the easy part to price and the hard part to build — details that look clean in elevation can conflict with framing, mechanicals or an out-of-square wall once you are on site. We read the drawings carefully up front and raise those conflicts before anything is fabricated.
Historic and older properties here also carry restoration requirements. Reproducing a molding profile, matching a stair baluster or repairing rot in original exterior trim takes patience and the right approach — replacing only what is failing while keeping the original detail intact.
We are comfortable on projects that run several months. Larger East Hampton renovations regularly take six to seven months, and we plan the trade sequence, lead times and inspection points in advance so the schedule holds.
