Working in Quogue
Quogue has a consistent architectural character, and the carpentry that works here is carpentry that fits in. Porch columns, railing details, exterior trim profiles and interior moldings tend to follow established patterns, and new work looks best when it continues them rather than introducing something foreign.
Porches take a lot of our attention in this village. Column bases, deck framing, railing assemblies and beadboard ceilings all sit exposed to weather and all fail at predictable points. Repairing them properly means addressing drainage and ventilation, not just replacing the visible wood.
Being only a few miles from our shop, Quogue gets the same fast response as Hampton Bays. Small jobs are worth our time here, and larger ones move quickly because we are not fighting a commute.
