What this service actually involves
Finish carpentry is the last five percent of a project that everyone actually sees. We cut to the room rather than to the tape — coping inside corners, backing every joint, and setting reveals consistently so the eye reads a straight line from one end of the house to the other. On high-end work the difference is measured in a sixteenth of an inch, and that is the standard we hold every day.
Every project runs the same way: measured on site, written up clearly, and built by the crew that quoted it. You deal with Wilson directly rather than a rotating cast of subcontractors.
Included in every finish carpentry project
- Coped inside corners and tight, glued outside miters
- Consistent reveals on casing, jambs and returns
- Solid backing and blocking behind every run
- Window stool, apron and jamb extension work
- Built-up trim assemblies and custom profile matching
- Caulk and fill kept to a finish detail, not a cover-up
Four steps from first call to final walkthrough
Walkthrough
We review the profiles, reveals and transitions room by room and agree on the details.
Layout
Runs are laid out to minimize joints and to land seams where they read cleanest.
Install
Trim is cut, coped, backed and fastened — then checked against the line before moving on.
Final Detail
Nail holes filled, joints dressed, and every run inspected in raking light.
Detail-driven from start to finish
Premium results come from disciplined habits, not shortcuts. This is the standard we hold ourselves to on every project, whatever its size.
Clear Communication
Straight answers, written scope and a weekly update on where the project stands.
Measured On Site
Everything is measured to the house as built — no assuming a wall is plumb or an opening is square.
Real Preparation
Backing, blocking and substrate work done before finish work starts, not improvised around later.
Materials That Suit the Job
Species, grade and hardware selected for the location and the way the space is actually used.
Respect for the Property
Floors and fixtures protected, dust contained, and the site cleaned before we leave each day.
Final Walkthrough
We walk the punch list with you and sign it off together before the project is called complete.
